A Partnership for Generations Through gift planning, members and donors can help in the fight for clean water for generations to come. Gift planning enables those who value saving the Bay to consider a variety of giving options that can:
- earn income, gain tax advantages, secure your retirement
- create a personal legacy that will help restore the Bay and its tributaries
- meet your financial and philanthropic goals using methods that may not require any upfront cash
The generosity of our donors and members will enable CBF to remain an inspiration to people to care and learn about the environment and our role as stewards of the watershed. It is through your leadership that future generations will experience a healthier Chesapeake Bay.

"I included the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in my will because I want my grandchildren to experience the Bay as I did and learn from the Bay as my own children did." – Dr. John Levinson
Chesapeake Legacy Circle The Chesapeake Legacy Circle recognizes those donors who have included the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in their estate plans through a legacy or planned gift. Over the years, dedicated friends have played an important part in ensuring the long-term stability of the Chesapeake Bay by including CBF in their estate plans with gifts of all sizes. Each gift plays a vital role in preserving the Bay for generations to come.
If you have already included CBF in your estate planning, we hope you will let us know. Your willingness to be listed as a Chesapeake Legacy Circle member allows us to recognize your commitment in a few simple ways, and your participation encourages others to follow the example of your leadership.
