Workshops and Training

As an ecosystem, the Chesapeake Bay is as complex as the governmental structures responsible for its cleanup. Fortunately, CBF's professional staff have sorted out what citizens need to know about the natural and political worlds to make a difference for the Bay and its rivers and streams.

  • Workshops — To assist citizens in becoming more effective advocates and supporters for the Chesapeake Bay, CBF conducts periodic workshops throughout the year through our Bay Captains and VoiCeS (Volunteers as Chesapeake Stewards) programs in Maryland, offering volunteers valuable conservation and leadership skills.
  • Action Network — Concerned citizens who join our online action network are provided with information about proposed legislation and the ability to quickly and easily send a personalized e-mail to their representatives, directly contributing to the legislative process and helping to protect the Bay and its rivers and streams.
  • Teacher Professional Development - Are you a teacher looking to incorporate more about the Bay in your classroom?  Learn more about what CBF has to offer teachers >>.
