NCLI is More Important Than Ever
New Nielsen Company Report: “American children aged 2-11 are watching more and more television than they have in years. New findings from The Nielsen Company show kids aged 2-5 now spend more than 32 hours a week on average in front of a TV screen. The older segment of that group (ages 6-11) spend a little less time, about 28 hours per week watching TV, due in part that they are more likely to be attending school for longer hours...” Click to read the full report.
Sec. Duncan Speaks about the Need for New Education Legislation
Secretary Duncan issued his call to action Thursday, urging a number of reforms to help transform ESEA into a force that will drive academic success and prepare students for higher education or the workforce. Notably, he called for a decreased reliance on standardized tests and an end to the "narrowing of the curriculum" that reduces instructional time for science, social studies, and environmental education.

The Rev. Richard Cizik, the face of the green evangelical movement, was named among Time Magazine's top 100 most influential people in the world for 2008. He is the former Vice-President for Government Affairs for the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) and a leading proponent of "creation care".
