The Hershey Company has been supporting CBF's Pennsylvania-based education program since its inception in 1987—longer than any other corporate donor. The company's first gift helped purchase a fleet of canoes and a trailer for the program. Now, more than two decades later, thanks to The Hershey Company's support, CBF's Susquehanna Watershed Education Program has educated and inspired more than 35,000 students and teachers throughout the company's home state of Pennsylvania and beyond.
"The Hershey Company has placed a priority on environmental sustainability not just in our operations, but in the organizations we support through philanthropy," explains Todd Camp, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. "CBF's environmental education program has a measurable positive impact on the community and the local environment and provides meaningful engagement to students and teachers across the watershed. The Hershey Company has a responsibility to do our part for clean water, both locally and globally, and we are happy to continue to support CBF's efforts to save the Bay."
