"This photo was taken in the summer of 2009 from the area by Jonas Green Park and the Severn Inn along the Severn River. I had literally bought my new camera minutes before and decided to get in some night shots. The piers have long-been neglected but are beautiful in contrast to the lights of the U.S. Naval Academy across the river.
The Chesapeake Bay is a beautiful living habitat that is increasingly devastated by development. The problem with beautiful scenes like this is that everybody wants to be a part of it without respecting it for what it is. We need to learn to come and go without disruption, instead we build houses and stay forever."
