Green Fund discussions continue

"The Chesapeake Bay is the heart of the state and when the heart is sick, so is the rest of the state..." So starts this article about the proposed 'Green Fund' by Taya Flores of the Capital News Service, quoting Del. Maggie McIntosh (D-Balt).

SoldoutMaryland delegates are debating the details of the proposed bill, which in its original form would generate an estimated $62.5 million for FY 2008 and $125 annually after that.

Public support looks strong -- CBF's "Change for the Chesapeake" campaign has already run out of piggy banks -- but more is needed. If you live in Maryland, you can support the Green Fund by writing your Senator today.
