NOAA Lafayette River Restoration Announcement

Citizens are invited to attend a celebration of federal, state, and local efforts to restore the Lafayette River.  Representatives from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and the Elizabeth River project will share news about exciting projects to restore native oysters in the Lafayette River.  The City of Norfolk will also announce plans for a living shoreline restoration project in the Colley Bay section of the river.  

NOAA is supporting these initiatives with more the $500,000 in funding and with the latest scientific information gained by habitat surveys.
