Registration required

Spend time aboard CBF's skipjack Stanley Norman. While aboard you'll be invited to help hoist the sails or simply enjoy the view. You'll leave with a better understanding of oysters and their role in keeping the Bay clean as well as what CBF is doing to restore oyster stocks in order to save the Bay.

Watch budding artists between the ages of 10 and 14 paint rain barrels. Learn about the advantages of using rain barrels and how it will help the Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay.

Fortune's Cove Preserve Guided Hike (Nelson County, VA)
Near Lovingston, VA
about 35 miles south of Charlottesville 

7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

Join CBF and The Nature Conservancy for this family-friendly Solstice Sunset Hike, led by Robert Jennings, CBF Naturalist. The preserve straddles Virginia's Piedmont and Blue Ridge, an ecological crossroads that supports a great diversity of plants and wildlife.

Volunteer workday at the Paxton Creek Watershed and Education Assoiciation's nursery in Susquehanna Township. Help PCWEA and CBF re-pot trees, clean up debris, and much more to get the nursery ready for the summer.

Outdoor Concert with Eastport Oyster Boys

6:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

Join CBF and the Avalon Foundation to enjoy the music of the Eastport Oyster Boys as they explore life on the shores of the Chesapeake through music. Their songs and stories of "the land of pleasant living" celebrate the unique heritage of the Eastern Shore and are sure to entertain. Stop by the other environmental booths to learn more about the ecology of the area and be sure to visit MCTV's booth to tell your Chesapeake Bay story.

Total 200 Bike Ride (DC/MD)
Washington, D.C. to Southern Maryland  

Total 200 is a one day double century bike ride (200 mile & 200 kilometer options) from Washington D.C. to the Southern Maryland peninsula and back. Take on the challenge to finish a double century in a single day and have fun doing it, or volunteer to help with the ride. A portion of ride proceeds go to CBF.

Whether you want to help all day or part of it, we're always looking for folks to join the Total200 team:

Start/Finish — See the riders off or cheer them in after they finish a remarkable achievement.
Checkpoints — Help cheer people on and provide needed support to riders at one of the seven checkpoints along the route.
