Wetland Planting - Patuxent River Watershed (MD)

Sat, 19 Sep, 2015 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Come help the CBF and partner organizations plant shrubs and wetland grasses at the former Naval Academy dairy farm. This 800 acre farm is the largest organic farm in the State of Maryland. Volunteers will plant a newly graded wetland in what was the old manure pond back when the farm was a dairy.

Come learn about the restoration master plan CBF and the US Fish and Wildlife Service have completed for the farm. This project will filter nutrients and sediment from the adjacent parking and barn areas.
