The Chesapeake Bay Foundation invites the Hampton Roads community to celebrate over 50 years of saving the Bay! Bring your family and friends and celebrate the saving of a national treasure with an exciting day of educational experiences, local bites, live music, games, and more!

Enjoy some of these Bay experiences:

  • Cruise the Bay with Captains Jimmy and Yancey aboard the Jenny S
  • Learn about bees in their natural habitat
  • Make a fish-print bandana
  • Meet a mermaid!
  • Build an oyster cage
  • Science time: Dissect an oyster or menhaden
  • See a live bug display
  • Live Bay critter touch tank
  • Face painting
  • Treasure hunt
  • Build an oyster filter
  • And much more!

The Cast Iron Catering food truck will be back with their delicious creations, along with Sofrito and a new vegan food truck, The Bumbling Bee! Enjoy complimentary Jody's Popcorn, ice cream, and more. Our beer garden will feature brews from Devil's Backbone Brewing Company and more. We will also have our Rain Barrel beer available, made from CBF's Brock Environmental Center's treated rainwater. Not a beer drinker? Be one of the first to enjoy our new complimentary rainwater bar!

FREE and open to the public, but registration is required.

Doors open at 12:30 p.m. First activities start at 1:00 p.m. and end at 4:00 p.m. Activities for all ages!
