Chesapeake Bay Foundation - Save the Bay: The Heart of the Chesapeake Project

Maryland is geographically in the middle of the watershed and incorporates four separate Bay watersheds. The Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams are a primary feature of Maryland's geography. Blue crabs, rockfish, oysters, skipjacks, Canada geese, and diamondback terrapins are icons of Maryland's culture.
