Clean Water Captains

Clean Water Captains are ambassadors for clean water in their communities.

Wondering what you can do for the Bay? Join CBF's Clean Water Captains!

Now is the time to stand up for clean water on the Eastern Shore. You can make a difference in your local rivers and streams. CBF's Eastern Shore Office invites you to become a Clean Water Captain and find your favorite way to support fishable, swimmable waters.

Clean Water Captains is a community of CBF members and volunteers who regularly take action for the Bay and local waters by engaging in regular, advocacy-related activities to help advance the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint—the science-based, state/federal plan to restore the Bay and its rivers and streams—as well as other shared priorities.

As an added perk, Clean Water Captains will be invited to an array of special CBF events, like a day on the Bay on a CBF vessel, an education field program, or a Clean Water Captains restoration day. This is an excellent opportunity to get the inside scoop on up-and-coming issues, meet like-minded people in your community, and to be empowered to raise your voice for clean water!
