Tenure at CBF: 2002-present

Education: University of Maryland, College Park, B.A. in U.S. History; University of Maryland, Bay Ecology graduate course

Claire started her work with CBF's Education programs in 2002 as a seasonal educator on the Maryland Education Restoration Program and graduated into a full time position to manage the Maryland Canoe Program in 2003. Claire went on to found and manage the education program at the Merrill Center in 2006. Most recently she has served as the Field Senior Manager for the Maryland/Pennsylvania/Washington DC Education team. The progression of Claire's work experience has given her the ability to see both the big picture of the Department while knowing and responding to the needs of her team and the unique demands of our education programs.

Prior Experience:

  • Volunteer Coordinator for TEAM DNR education program, MD DNR
  • Service Learning Coordinator on Kent Island
  • Program Coordinator for the Wonders of Wetlands (WOW) at Environmental Concern
