Larry Laird, Jr.

Fox Island Envrionmental Education Center Captain/Assistant Manager

Tenure at CBF: March 2013-Present

Captain Larry Laird, Jr. grew up on Smith Island working the water, tug boats, and ferries. At 27, Larry moved to Crisfield, Maryland and ran a charter fishing and eco-tour boat, The Bay Eagle.

Since then, he has enjoyed showing students and teachers the wonders of nature and the importance of being good environmental stewards. In his spare time you can find Larry trolling for rockfish, tinkering around the lodge or having a great time with his pet pig, Willy.
