From Baltimore, Annapolis and Points North and East

  • Take Route 301 South to Route 4 North.
  • Go North on Route 4 for about 2 miles to second exit, Ritchie-Marlboro Road.
  • At the stoplight, turn LEFT onto Old Marlboro Pike. Follow for 1.5 miles.
  • Just before the road turns sharply 90° to the left, make a RIGHT into the gravel driveway marked by a sign reading "Clagett Farm, Chesapeake Bay Foundation."
  • Follow the driveway; at the first fork, turn left.
  • As you continue down, on the right, you will see three barns; park on the grass by the treeline next to the first barn.

From Washington, DC and areas West

Capitol Beltway heading North

  • Take exit 11a to Pennsylvania Avenue/ Route 4 South.
  • Continue straight on Route 4 through three stoplights.
  • Move to the left lane to exit at the Ritchie-Marlboro Rd exit.
  • At the stop sign, turn LEFT onto Ritchie-Marlboro Rd.
  • At the stoplight, turn LEFT onto Old Marlboro Pike. Follow for approximately 1 mile.
  • Just before the road turns sharply 90° to the left, make a RIGHT into the gravel driveway marked by a sign reading "Clagett Farm, Chesapeake Bay Foundation."
  • Follow the driveway; at the first fork, turn left.
  • As you continue down, on the right, you will see three barns; park on the grass by the treeline next to the first barn.

From Capitol Beltway heading South

  • Take exit 13 Ritchie Marlboro Rd.
  • Stay to the left to enter the traffic circle; go ¾ of the way around to travel towards Upper Marlboro on Ritchie Marlboro Rd.
  • At the second traffic circle, continue straight through to continue traveling east on Ritchie Marlboro; move to the right lane.
  • At the stoplight, turn RIGHT to continue on Ritchie-Marlboro Rd. Follow for approximately 6 miles.
  • At the next stoplight, turn RIGHT onto Old Marlboro Pike. Continue for approximately 1 mile.
  • Just before the road turns sharply 90° to the left, make a RIGHT into the gravel driveway marked by a sign reading "Clagett Farm, Chesapeake Bay Foundation."
  • Follow the driveway; at the first fork, turn left.
  • As you continue down, on the right, you will see three barns; park on the grass by the treeline next to the first barn.

To the Farm from Selby's Landing at Patuxent River State Park

  • Exit the park on Croom Airport Road.
  • Turn RIGHT at the stop sign onto Croom Road.
  • At the stop light, turn RIGHT to take Route 301 North.
  • Exit onto Route 4 North towards Washington.
  • Go North on Route 4 for about 2 miles to second exit, Ritchie-Marlboro Road.
  • At the stoplight, turn LEFT onto Old Marlboro Pike. Follow for approximately 1 mile.
  • Just before the road turns sharply 90° to the left, make a RIGHT into the gravel driveway marked by a sign reading "Clagett Farm, Chesapeake Bay Foundation."
  • Follow the driveway; at the first fork, turn LEFT.
  • As you continue down, on the RIGHT, you will see three barns; park on the grass by the treeline next to the first barn.

Selby's Landing at Patuxent River Park

Take Route 301 south past Upper Marlboro. Go under Route 4 and over the railroad tracks. At the first stoplight turn left onto Croom Road(Route 382). Follow about 2.5 miles to Croom Airport Road and turn left. Follow about 3 miles (past Park Office road) to Mattaponi Group Camp area. Turn left at the T and follow around to Selby's Landing boat ramp. Park at the top of the hill in the gravel parking area.
