Gifts of Securities

Many supporters choose to make charitable gifts of securities to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation because it can be a wonderful way to help save the Bay and possibly reduce personal capital gains or estate taxes. We at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation appreciate your interest in supporting our work to preserve and protect the Bay through a gift of stock.

Transfer Instructions:

• Either you, your broker or financial advisor should contact the Development Department at CBF with the following information:
  • * Full name and address of donor
  • * Name of broker or financial advisor who will handle the transaction
  • * Name of the stock, including symbol
  • * Number of shares you would like to contribute
• Use the following data to wire transfer shares to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation brokerage account at PNC Bank:
  • DTC: 2616
  • Account #: 21-46-001-5910836
  • Account Name: Chesapeake Bay Foundation
  • Contact Name: Michelle Sebolt
  • Contact Phone: 410/237-5551

• Please make sure the broker includes your name on the instructions.

• Please have your broker send a letter to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Development Support Services, confirming the following information:
  • * Full name of donor
  • * Official date of transfer
  • * Name, including symbol, and number of shares
