VA Watershed Education Program Educator/Assistant Manager

Education: George Mason University, MA in Education; University of Bradford, UK, BS in Environmental Science

Allan conducts canoe-based environmental education programs with school groups of different ages throughout the western part of Virginia. Throughout these field experiences, Allan leads his students in water quality studies and raises awareness of watershed issues and problems. Prior to coming to CBF, Allan taught physical science in middle school (1996-2004).

Educational Philosophy: "To teach effectively you must first find what interests your audience and play to their particular interests."
