James River Study Center Manager/Educator

Tenure at CBF: 2001-present

Education: James Madison University, BA English Literature/World History

As co-manager of the James River Study Center, Eric provides meaningful field experiences for adult and student groups aboard the workboat Chesapeake with his partner Captain Ken Slazyk. He also provides water safety and canoe training to CBF education staff.

Prior Experience:

  • Operations Manager/Guide, Richmond Raft Co.
  • Mid-Atlantic Regional Site Manager, Kayak Instructor, Guide for LL Bean Outdoor Discovery Schools
  • Co-leader for CBF’s Expedition Chesapeake 2005 and Expedition Susquehanna 2006 Programs
