Melissa Barrett

Clagett Farm Education Program Manager/Educator

Tenure at CBF: 2007-present

Education: Elon University, B.S. Environmental Studies minor in Biology

Melissa’s priority for each group that comes out to CBF's Clagett Farm is to facilitate a meaningful watershed experience. Melissa and her co-educator use experiential learning techniques to demonstrate the value of different land uses and their affects on the overall health of the Chesapeake Bay. They have many different activities for participants such as planting crops, tasting currently growing crops, doing land use experiments, soil studies, visiting cows, and going on forest hikes.
