Tenure at CBF: 2015-Present

Education: BA in Geography, focus on Geospatial and Environmental Analysis, minor in Natural Resources Recreation, Virginia Tech - Go Hokies! 

Prior Experience: 

  • Youth Conservation Corps leader (conservation projects at State Parks across Virginia)
  • Blue Sky Fund in Richmond, Virginia (outdoor education lessons)
  • Virginia Outside: an afterschool and summer program showing Richmond kids the best places to fish and mountain bike
  • Student Conservation Association and AmeriCorps
    • Massachusetts (environmental education, trail work, and GIS)
    • Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore (trail work)
  • GIS Technician in Blacksburg, Virginia at Virginia Tech

Rick joined CBF to utilize his past experiences and continue his years of dedication to educating the public about the importance of protecting our invaluable natural resources.  When not working, Rick can be found disc golfing, fishing, and, when the weather is right, skiing.
