Wes Bradshaw

Wes is a boat captain, storyteller, and educator. He was born and raised on Smith Island and contributes a unique perspective to our field education program. He shares first-hand experiences as a waterman with the students and teachers who participate in our programs. He talks about the history of the island and the families who have lived there for many generations. He also shares important information about water quality and fisheries, and how the waterman's way of life has changed so drastically because of the Bay's health.
