CBF Issues Statement on Pope Francis' Visit

(ANNAPOLIS, MD)—Chesapeake Bay Foundation President William C. Baker issued this statement regarding the visit of Pope Francis to the United States this week.

"Pope Francis, an exceptional leader on the world stage, is giving citizens of Earth the unvarnished truth. He is telling us this little planet has its limits, and we are already pushing it beyond those limits. With an appreciation for and an understanding of the best science, Pope Francis refuses to remain silent. He reminds each and every one of us that we can do our part to make the world's future brighter for all citizens, rich and poor."
