Annual Paddle for the Bay Event Set for July 30

(NORFOLK, VA)—Registration is now open for Paddle for the Bay, the 19th annual race and paddle to benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF). The event will be held this year on the morning of Saturday, July 30, at Sarah Constant Beach Park in Norfolk.

The competition at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay draws a variety of paddlers, including kayaks, stand up paddle boards, outrigger canoes, and surf skis. Events include a 3-mile fun paddle and a 6-mile race organized and certified by the Mid Atlantic Paddler's Association. All skill levels are welcome. Click here to register.

Day-of registration runs from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on July 30, and the races start at 9:00 a.m. Advance registration is $30, or $35 the day of the race. Registration includes a CBF membership and lunch. Spectators are welcome.
