I've been a Chesapeake Bay transplant for two years now and am lucky to not only own part of some protected land, but live close enough to enjoy the beach and all it has to offer.

Almost every day I walk down to the beach and take pictures of the amazing sunrise.
The Bay has always been a part of who I am.

Beautiful sunrise on Plum Point Beach. I drive by this barn every day and have taken so many pictures of it . . . it just never gets old.
These pictures were taken in a small creek off the Western Branch of the Elizabeth River.
I took this photo of "Big Bird," as my mother would call the great blue herons that always visit her waterfront on the Poquoson River.
