My Story
Join us Thursday April 22nd, 2010 for a celebration of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day!!!
"Music for the Bay" is a community based fundraiser designed to support ongoing bay restoration efforts.
Help support the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and join us for a night of fun and live music,9PM to 12AM, at Bushwaller's Irish American Pub, 209 North Market Street, Frederick, Maryland. Featured musician,Freddie Long. Other guest musicians will join our efforts.
Donations will be welcomed at the door, but are not mandantory. So come on out, bring a friend, and celebrate Earth Day 2010!
If you are unable to attend the "Music for the Bay" event, but share in our environmental concerns, donations are welcome through this website.
CBF is funded mostly by individual donors like you and me. Donations large and small help support CBF's on-the-water field experiences for students and teachers, tree plantings, oyster restoration, advocacy for stronger laws protecting the Bay, and litigation against polluters when necessary.
Every gift makes a difference!
* $25 can plant five native trees
* $50 can grow 5,000 native oysters. * $150 can pay a teacher's tuition for a five-day professional development course. * $500 can send eight students for a day of learning in and around the Bay. Please click the button below the thermometer to donate on my page and help me meet my fundraising goal!
