The idea for Striped Bass Pale Ale was fittingly spawned on an island in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay while fishing for stripers in near gale force winds. Steve Crandall, founder of Devils Backbone Brewing Company (DBBC) and a fully committed outdoorsman, wanted to create a great beer that would satisfy your thirst but also help protect your local waters.

With funds from your purchase, DBBC will help support conservation programs of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

To see how you and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation are making a difference from the mountain streams to the tidal shores of the Chesapeake, please visit cbf.org.

Cheers! Thank you for doing your part to help Save the Bay!
