BIG news out of the Commonwealth earlier this month. After we released our white paper calling for greater investment in the most strategic, cost-effective opportunities for reducing pollution in Pennsylvania and downstream, the Chesapeake Executive Council committed more than $28 million dollars to accelerate pollution-reduction efforts in the state. Given that the Susquehanna supplies more than half the freshwater that flows into the Bay, this is great news not only for Pennsylvanians, but for everyone who cares about the Bay and its rivers and streams.
