Do you enjoy public speaking or want to learn more about how to give a strong presentation? Do you love the water and want to learn more about cleaning up our rivers and the Bay? CBF's Speakers Bureau is for you! With far more requests for speakers than we have staff or time, CBF relies on its Speakers Bureau volunteers to tackle these varied speaking opportunities. Whether you are current on the issues and ready to share our message, or just enjoy public speaking and would like to get trained, we welcome your commitment to this important and high profile program. And if you have any sort of nerves about speaking in public, this is a great opportunity to get over that—quickly! So, if you think you have the right stuff, please register below.
At our Richmond training session, you'll learn:
- basics about the Bay and its rivers;
- strategies for adapting presentations to diverse groups, such as classrooms, faith organizations or homeowners;
- best practice techniques on how to present clearly and dynamically; and
- how to use presentation equipment and teaching tools
After the session, we will match you up with opportunities to teach the public about this beautiful and bountiful resource.
Registration closes at noon on Friday, April 29. For more information, contact Blair Blanchette at firstname.lastname@example.org or 804-780-1392.
