Simple freedoms like exploring, paddling, and experiencing the great land and waterscapes of our country, were made possible by the sacrifices made by our veterans. Just as enjoying waterways like the mighty Susquehanna River is one of the many privileges protected by our veterans, the river itself can provide a therapeutic, healing experience for those who gave so much.
To honor these heroes and celebrate the value of clean waterways in our community, we invite you to join Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) and Heroes on the Water for a day of fishing, paddling, and fly-fishing lessons on our beautiful Susquehanna River.
Veterans, community members, paddlers, fishermen, friends, and family are welcome.
From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., CBF will host a dinner and open bar with live music for all participants. There is a $5 entrance fee for dinner and drinks.
Join CBF and Heroes on the Water in saluting our veterans, enjoying some river therapy, a good time on the water, and new opportunities to protect clean water in your community. It’s an opportunity to celebrate our heroes and appreciate the value of clean water!
