I've been a Chesapeake Bay transplant for two years now and am lucky to, not only own part of some protected lands, but live close enough to enjoy the beach and all it has to offer.

Every day I find something beautiful [that makes me] appreciate how lucky we are to be stewards of such a special area. Recently I've fallen in love with the Chesapeake Bay deadrise boats. Here is one I photographed recently off of Buckroe Beach in Hampton, Virginia. This particular boat was named Judy Lane.
