CLAGETT FARM
11904 Old Marlboro Pike Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 301/627-4662 clagettfarm@cbf.org
Clagett Farm is a working farm, owned and operated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
We use these 285 acres for a variety of programs:
- Vegetables
Our vegetables are for sale to the public through our From the Ground Up CSA, as a joint effort with the Capital Area Food Bank. Check out cbf.org/csa or email clagettfarm@cbf.org, to find out how to become a member, a volunteer, or “worksharer”. Paying customers sign up in the spring—we do not sell vegetables directly from the farm during the season.
- Native Trees
Our potted trees are planted throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed as a buffer against erosion. Help us plant them! Check out CBF's volunteer calendar or email MDrestoration@cbf.org.
- Grass-Fed Beef
Our grass-fed beef is for sale to the public bi-annually as a “split half”. Email clagettfarm@cbf.org to be alerted when it goes on sale.
- Educational Field Programs
Clagett Farm is one site among many for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's award-winning field trips for students, teachers, and adults. Visit cbf.org/education for more information, or email educationcoordinator@cbf.org.
- Agricultural Policy
Our farm manager, Michael Heller, helps the Chesapeake Bay Foundation champion legislation that supports the Bay and our farmers.
