NEW GARDENERS OR GARDENERS RETURNING AFTER MORE THAN A YEAR HIATUS: You must attend an oyster gardening seminar before taking home spat on shell.

At this event, you will pick up your spat-on-shell (baby oysters set on recycled shells), two 18″ x 9″ cages, as well as other supplies needed to grow them. We require a $25 fee for this kit to offset program costs.

Not sure if you want to become an oyster gardener? Registration is also available for those who would like to “listen and learn.” Would like to participate but don’t have a dock? CBF has a limited number of public locations available for gardeners.

If you have questions regarding CBF’s Oyster Gardening program please e-mail, OysterGardener@cbf.org or call 757-644-4118.
