Elizabeth Berman
Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations
As CBF’s director of corporate relations, Elizabeth Berman finds her niche in aligning CBF’s programs with funder priorities to build long-term relationships and maximize impact. A trained classical musician, she comes from a 17-year history in arts nonprofit management where she most recently served as the manager of institutional partnerships at the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra from 2020–2022 and as the finance and development manager at Chesapeake Shakespeare Company from 2015–2020.
She has lived in the Bay region for 35 years and considers her hometown to be Baltimore, Maryland. Located in the Washington, D.C. metro area, her current favorite place in the watershed is Hains Point Park (downtown D.C.) where her two children gallivant around on the playground and watch the lightning bugs blink and the airplanes arrive and depart from Reagan National Airport.
Elizabeth is passionate about the environment for its sheer natural beauty and the health benefits it provides. She gardens when she can and enjoys exposing her children to the different ecosystems in the Bay region. She also highly values the arts and the intersection of mental health and creative expression.
