Elizabeth Snyder
Vegetable Production Manager
Elizabeth Snyder is a lifelong resident of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. After growing up and attending school in Virginia, they now live and work in Maryland, continuing her deep connection to the region. After studying sociology at William & Mary, they dove into the agricultural world by way of a small farm outside of Baltimore. Elizabeth quickly realized she couldn’t imagine a life outside of agriculture!
They spent three seasons managing a farm and uncovering the various joys and challenges of working with the land. Elizabeth then joined CBF’s Clagett Farm as the vegetable production manager. Now in their fifth season of farming, Clagett Farm represents a chance for Elizabeth to more fully participate in the wide world of Maryland agriculture—all while advocating for better food and cleaner water in their community.
Off the farm, she enjoys spending time with her two cats, trying new vegan recipes featuring farm produce, and reading books for their book club. Their favorite place in the Bay watershed is a top-secret swimming hole north of Baltimore!
