Jenna Schueler
Science & Agricultural Policy Advisor
Jenna Schueler serves as the science and agricultural policy advisor at CBF’s headquarters in Annapolis, Maryland. Born and raised in Maryland, Jenna developed a deep connection to the water through many summer days spent playing in and alongside the Gunpowder River.
Prior to working at CBF, she attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where she received her bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. In her junior year, she led a university-sponsored volunteer experience with her peers over spring break, where she worked with CBF as a community partner. This weeklong experience of service inspired her to make a complete career pivot to pursue a master’s degree in environmental sciences.
Jenna has a strong background in scientific writing and communication, field work, research, and data analysis. She has crunched the numbers for reports like the State of the Bay, State of the Blueprint, and Farm Forward and used science to help inform CBF’s policy stances on the Farm Bill and agricultural cost share programs. She also coordinates external partnerships that lift up regenerative agriculture, like the Mountains-to-Bay Grazing Alliance.
Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing, competitive dance, and teaching yoga.
