Jessica Lutzow
Virginia Oyster Restoration Specialist
Jessica Lutzow lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia and serves as CBF’s Virginia oyster restoration specialist. She grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where her deep respect and passion for the Chesapeake Bay were instilled at an early age.
After moving to Virginia to earn a degree in biology at Old Dominion University, Jessica decided she loved Coastal Virginia and stuck around! During her time at ODU, she focused her coursework around marine conservation and environmental studies. In her role at CBF, Jessica spends her time managing CBF’s volunteer oyster gardening program, providing assistance with large-scale oyster restoration work—including spat on shell and reef ball production—and handling data management.
Outside of work, Jessica loves to spend her time snuggling with her two pugs, pottering around the garden, reading, and of course, relaxing and recreating in the Chesapeake Bay!
