Kati Grigsby

Hampton Roads Restoration Coordinator

Kati Grigsby was born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, where her childhood immersion in nature inspired her work with CBF.

In 2018, she earned a master’s degree in architectural studies and sustainable design, along with a graduate certificate in geographic information systems from the University of Florida. After graduation, she interned with CBF, where she discovered her passion for integrating plants and animals into design. Recognizing the need for formal education in environmental science, she returned to school and earned a master’s degree in environmental science from Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) and William & Mary in 2023.

Kati manages CBF’s Hampton Roads Urban Restoration Program, which focuses on designing, permitting, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining green infrastructure projects in the Hampton Roads region.
