Kayla Brennan grew up in southern Maryland and now lives within the Washington, D.C. area. She is currently a part of the vegetable team at Clagett Farm and is grateful for the knowledge and people her role has brought into her life.

She received a degree in biology at Duquesne University where she enjoyed devoting time to her research on microbial activity in contaminated waterways. Although she likes being in a lab, she was drawn toward agriculture and has been happily exploring the world of farming. Kayla has enjoyed taking on roles such as plant care and maintenance, field prep, and volunteer management.

When she’s not working, she enjoys trail running, doing crafts with her friends, cooking with new vegetables, and looking for things in the woods in her hometown.
