Kristen Heberlig
Pennsylvania Watershed Resiliency Program Manager
Kristen Heberlig provides the strategic vision, direction, and execution of CBF’s efforts to restore the health of local streams and rivers in Pennsylvania as the Pennsylvania watershed resiliency program manager. She works closely with senior CBF staff in both the Harrisburg office and headquarters to develop diverse and innovative strategies for accelerating the implementation of agricultural pollution reduction practices. Kristen supervises and collaborates with Pennsylvania resiliency field staff to maintain and expand the array of public and private funding sources that support the Pennsylvania Watershed Resiliency Program.
Before stepping into her current role, Kristen served for 10 years as a restoration field specialist with CBF. She worked directly with landowners to promote the use of riparian forest buffers, assisted with project implementation, and provided technical support. She also collaborated actively with partner agencies and organizations to advance shared restoration goals.
Kristen brings more than 20 years of experience in the environmental field. Her background includes work in the private sector with geotechnical and environmental engineering firms as well as in the public sector, where she served as the nutrient management specialist for the Cumberland County Conservation District in Pennsylvania for five years prior to joining CBF.
