Laura Stein
Grants Manager
Laura began on the Grants Team at CBF in 2024 after moving from Hawaii back to her home state of Maryland. Laura oversees financial compliance and management of grant funding from proposal budgets to reports and invoices to annual federal audits.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master of Science degree in International Conservation and Development from the University of Montana. Her career has included international research, field work on public lands across the country, environmental education in the greater Baltimore area, and aquaculture technology development in Hawaii.
Laura is happy to be home once again in the Chesapeake Bay watershed serving CBF’s mission to “Save the Bay.” She enjoys hiking, kayaking, spending time with friends and family, and traveling throughout the watershed and the world.
