Olivia Murphy leads the farm crew at CBF’s Clagett Farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. They enjoy working hard every day to grow beautiful organic vegetables with Bay-friendly practices. In their role, they get the chance to transform the mundane into the significant by talking to volunteers and seasonal farm staff about regenerative farming methods. Whether they’re mulching an acre of tomatoes, harvesting hundreds of pounds of eggplant, or talking to visitors about preventing nutrient runoff to the watershed, every day out in the fields is a delight.

Olivia manages the Winter CSA at Clagett Farm and especially loves the dedicated customers who eat seasonal year round. They are most inspired when seeing the strength and potential in the next generation of beginner farmers who want to make their life’s work in sustainable agriculture. They are forever chasing smooth operational systems, new equipment proficiency, and the perfectly germinated field of carrots.
