Tola Sanni

Tola Sanni is the chief financial officer of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where she leads the organization’s financial strategy, including accounting, budget, payroll, grant management, and reporting. She also serves as treasurer of CBF’s Board of Trustees, playing a key role in ensuring financial transparency and sustainability in support of the Foundation’s mission to save the Bay.
With more than 30 years of experience in finance and accounting, Tola has held various leadership roles across the nonprofit and private sectors. Before joining CBF, she founded TOLS Consulting, where she advised mission-driven organizations on financial strategy. Her previous roles include serving as chief financial officer at MomsRising, working nearly a decade with the National Association of Broadcasters, and earlier work at The Washington Post. She also contributes her expertise as a member of the advisory board at the University of California, Santa Barbara PACE program. Tola holds an MBA in finance from Howard University, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and lives in Maryland.
