Sept. 15 Clamboree to Benefit Chesapeake Bay Foundation

(WACHAPREAGUE, VA)—This year's Clamboree will offer delicious Eastern Shore seafood, live music, and stunning views, with all proceeds benefiting the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF). The event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Island House Restaurant in Wachapreague.

"Here on the Eastern Shore, our economy and our culture depend on the waters that surround us and the Bay that provides for us," said CBF Virginia Voices Outreach Coordinator Jay Ford. "The Clamboree is our way of saying thank you to our Chesapeake Bay and Seaside waters while enjoying the delicious clams and oysters that help keep them clean. "

Oysters on the half shell, all you can eat clams, and a crab cake dinner are included for $65 per person. Tickets are available online at www.cbf.org/clamboree. Eastern Shore aquaculture businesses sponsoring the event by providing fresh local clams and oysters include Cherrystone Aqua Farms, H.M. Terry Co., Inc., and J.C. Walker Brothers Inc.

"You can't raise delicious Virginia oysters and clams without clean water," said Heather Lusk of H.M. Terry Co., Inc. "That's why H.M. Terry is proud to offer our shellfish to support the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's work to protect our waters."
