Port Isobel Island Education Center Solar Electric System

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation is seeking a solar contractor to install an estimated 15 kW solar system at our Port Isobel Island Education Center. The Chesapeake Bay Foundation owns and operates an island education center in the Tangier sound adjacent to Tangier Island. All materials must be brought to and from Crisfield, MD. The boat ride from Crisfield to Port Isobel Island is around 45 minutes. CBF will provide a captain and 40ft coast guard certified vessel for transportation. A site visit can be arranged upon request. We expect the project to be completed between December 15th 2023 and March 15th 2024.

Maryland Contract Lobbyist FY24

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is seeking the services of a professional lobbyist that focuses on environmental issues and other public interest issues in the Maryland General Assembly for a year-long contract. Lobby on behalf of CBF in the MD General Assembly and with the Administration on the policy issues identified by CBF. This will include efforts during both the upcoming 2024 Regular General Assembly Session and any “Special Sessions” that follow. The lobbyist will be responsible for assisting with strategy decisions and with advancing the legislative and policy agenda of the organization.
