Farm Forward: Press Call

Following the release of Farm Forward, a new report highlighting the multiple benefits of agricultural conservation practices essential to restoring the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation held a press call on February 15, 2022.

On the call, Director of Science and Agricultural Policy Beth McGee discussed the report and its conclusions and recommendations. Federal Executive Director Denise Stranko highlighted CBF's efforts to increase federal funding for climate-smart agricultural practices. CBF agricultural specialists, Pennsylvania Senior Agriculture Program Manager Bill Chain, Maryland Restoration Biologist Rob Schnabel, and Virginia Watershed Restoration Scientist Matt Kowalski provided perspectives on the challenges and opportunities in their states.
