CBF Announces Jay Ford as Virginia Voices Outreach Coordinator

(PAINTER, VA)—The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) is pleased to announce Jay Ford as its new Virginia Voices Outreach Coordinator, based on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Ford most recently served as the Executive Director for the Virginia Eastern Shorekeeper. Previously Ford was a legislative aide for current Virginia Governor Ralph Northam when Northam was a state senator. In this new position at CBF, Ford is focusing on issues on the Eastern Shore and advancing the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint throughout Virginia.

"Jay's great wealth of experience and knowledge will help us expand our work on the Eastern Shore and beyond, bringing in more people to help restore the Bay and its many tributaries. We're lucky to have him on board," said CBF Hampton Roads Director Christy Everett.

Ford is covering outreach on a range of clean water issues for CBF. "I am thrilled to be joining the talented team at CBF in protecting our one-of-a-kind Chesapeake Bay," Ford said. "I look forward to working with stakeholders from business, our community, and decisionmakers to protect our waters here on the Eastern Shore and across the Commonwealth."
