CBF Statement from President Will Baker on Being Honored by Maryland Senate

(Annapolis, MD)—Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) President Will Baker, who announced in January that he plans to retire at the end of the year, issued the following statement today in response to the Maryland Senate resolution marking his retirement.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized by the Maryland Senate. Thanks to the leadership of the Maryland Senate and House, we now have an opportunity to complete the greatest environmental success story this country has ever seen—saving Chesapeake Bay. We must all redouble our commitment and finish the job.”

Baker previously received the Maryland Speaker’s Medallion in 2009, which is awarded to one Marylander each year for outstanding contributions to the state.
