Statement by CBF President Hilary Falk on the Retirement of Chesapeake Bay Commission Executive Director Ann Swanson

Today the Chesapeake Bay Commission announced the retirement of Executive Director Ann Pesiri Swanson, after 34 years of leading the tri-state legislative body that advises the general assemblies of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia on matters concerning the Chesapeake Bay.

Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) President Hilary Falk released the following statement.

“For decades, Ann has brought state and federal elected officials together around a common goal of improving not only water quality, but the quality of life of everyone in the Bay region. As a true champion of clean water, Ann is a friend and mentor. On behalf of CBF and its supporters, we commend her on all that she has accomplished and her retirement.”
