Photo of the Week: Bring It!

Photo of the Week: Bring It!

A photo of a blue crab on the sand with both claws raised.

This blue crab was photographed, May 14, 2018 on the Chesapeake Bay in Northumberland County, Virginia.

Bob Diller.

The Bay is a place to witness amazing things that nature plays out like a fine symphony. This blue crab was skirting the shore trying to find a way into the marshes. It backed away, and left the water! After a few amazing shots, it got to go on its way. A far better fate than sometimes happens, though laughing gulls watched with keen interest.
