Why Planting Trees and Shrubs Along Streams is Important
Did you know forested streamside buffers (a.k.a. "riparian buffers") have been scientifically proven to be the most effective and least costly best management practice for preventing pollution of our rivers and streams? It's a great way for farmers to improve the quality of the streams running through their farmland. Join CBF's Farm Stewardship Program as we restore these valuable resources. No experience is necessary and all supplies are provided. Families, children accompanied by an adult, and groups are all welcome.
